Milford has been by far the most resourceful and welcoming community to open in. They took the time to work with me and my staff to understand city code, economic data, and offer assistance to help us be successful in the growth of our business. Milford is a vibrant community, filled with opportunity for businesses to find a quality work force and a customer base that shows no signs of slowing down.

Opening a small business is scary for most owners. The fear of wondering did I make the best decision on location? Will the town accept me and support my vision? I can answer yes to both questions. I’m so thankful for the support behind the scenes and during my events that I have received from Sara Bluhm. She is a great advocate for small business and has helped me whenever I have asked. She shows up to my events for Cookie’s Paper Petals beforehand asking what she can do and lending a helping hand. On other occasions when I invited Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester or Gov. John Carney to my store, she was right there by my side to support me as a small business owner and to also support the City of Milford. She has a heart for the City of Milford.
